A LITTLE ABOUT ME...
I'M A FULL-TIME ARTIST!
It's true! Dreams really do come true ~ I’m proof of it! I'm living my dream and so honored to be able to bring color, light, texture, and FUN into the lives of others.
My love for art began at a very early age. My paternal grandfather was a self-taught portrait artist and my father is also a very gifted artist. Both of my parents were potters and always encouraged my creativity.
When I was 16, with little guidance and an abundance of ambition I started painting murals in my family home and knew then that my calling was to be a professional artist.
In 1996, I graduated from Texas State University (San Marcos, TX) with a BFA and began a career in graphic design. I started my own design company just after college, branding my own businesses in the health and wellness industry and that of many throughout the years.
Throughout my fine art career I tinkered with many abstract techniques until I created the textural weave style (in 2004) that I continue to use and develop today. I am also an illustrator and have a large collection of whimsical drawings and greeting cards for any occasion.
I was approached by Ao5 Gallery in Austin, Texas to show my work and from September 2012 until June 2016 was a featured artist. Currently I show my work throughout the Texas Hill Country.
In January of 2009 I wrote my first novel, Feel the Burn, available on www.barnesandnoble.com.
I live in beautiful Johnson City, Texas with my son and extra large Labradoodle.
